Work!

Ive somehow scored 7 back to back shifts, that’s right, Tonight, Friday Morning – Friday Night, Saturday Morning – Saturday Night, Sunday Morning – Sunday Night.
Actually Kerry’s Grandfather passed away, and I agreed to cover her shifts, its a chance to make some dough, which Alana and I need right now, so here’s to thinking about the money! I’m going to update every day in this post, some may me ineligible sleep deprived rants from a madman not yet known to you, so bare with me here.

Oh just a quick congrats to Mike Dee for completing his course finally yesterday, good luck with your job hunting bro, I hope you find something that pays you too much to do too little, lets face it, that’s what we all want in life.

Here’s a pic of my girls arms… she loves the camera… really, took this just after Skidmark and I had done the worlds stupidest mish, to Hamilton and back, on no sleep, with minimum breaks and… no sleep… I done about 27 hours no sleep that weekend, got back just in time for work in the morning too

Just spent another two days in Levin, I seem to be spending alot of time up there, its worthwhile though.
Got home and surprise surprise the flats a dump… they manage to make it a dump without using dishes or cutlery… amazing stuff, its not a bad place to live when you don’t have to wade through bulk fucken Pizza box’s, Curry pottles, Mc Donald’s bags… it smells good too when there isn’t 5 day old rank left-overs…

…I’ll keep to my haven (room) until I think its safe to venture out.

AudioScrobbler – gets better and better

Audioscrobbler (Last.fm) has just got a whole load better, now there’s a gig guide / wiki of sorts, you throw in your country, and closest city, and get this.

It also appears on your ‘overveiw’ page, so is amongst the first spread of info you see, just another (of many) nice new touches some of my favourite sites are producing (another is the DeviantART shop spread. visual greatness is upon us all.

Fire…

Burnin… Out There… In The… Darrrrrrk

A block of buildings burnt down on Jackson street this morning, seeing the red lights flashing halfway up the road I thought it was the bar… part of me went “woohoooo day off work” then the adult part went “your job, your job you idiot”
It ended up being about a block down (just past the butcher and video ezy for those who know the area) The boss said he heard the trucks speeding down jackson, and getting airborne on the speedbumps… an airborne fire truck laden with men, water and machinery sounds scary, awesome, but scary.

The more suss thing is that these were declared ok to knock down just days ago, and apparently they were stripped of all their recyclables (hard wood flooring etc) a couple weeks back

certainly save the developer some demolition costs, and maybe a big fat insurance pay out? dun dun dunnnnnnn

those PAGs can try and save them, damn anti-progressive bohemians and their ignorance towards “earthquake” “risk” “reports” done by “council”, they can start by trying to stop the fire by throwing themselves on it

A Lil Shop With Heaps Of Cool Stuff

My O.G to G to the A to the… whatever… Dean sent me link to some bling bling, I thought “man that’s sooo Dean Horo” I followed some links about (most of them to Wellington shops) and everything was Dean styles! Which is cool, full blown colour, shiny arsed shades skulls… pop art designer overload.

I ended out on this lil shops blog, you may have been there? Dean dragged me last time we where both at course. Check it out, its Christmas season, so if you know someone colourful buy them the gear to match.

I’m back at work, back into the cycle now, tonight is my first play with the Bars new dinner menu, on top of that im working with Maqua for the first time in the kitchen (he and Rachel swapped some shifts) I hear he is a nutbar clean freak, I’m just hoping he doesn’t try to pull the oven to bits midway through service for a clean… I’ve heard storeys.

Last few thing’s, my uber beanie is missing again! what the hell! fingers crossed I left it at robs the other night, expect an update from Rawiri soon about his new… huge monitor, photos from me (flickR) on the way, once we troubleshoot this BSD -> Kubuntu -> Windows Network problem… or figure out why I cant get my flashdrive to mount? Mike Dee is coming down to Welly for a job interveiw, best of luck to him. Oh and Clucky is playing at Sub9 at around 11:30 pm Friday night, good chance to catch up with some old Levin crew.
