theres 10,000 reasons to survive

I have decided to collect all the pA books, I expected “Epic Legends of the Magic Sword Kings” to be the much newer style of cartoon, Mike Krahulik has been inking… It wasn’t, not that its a bad thing, the entire book is full of memories for me Continue reading ‘theres 10,000 reasons to survive’

Good, getting better

Well things have been looking up, my monitor is sussed out, BSD is all beginning to fall into place, though vlc seems a bit Anal.
So thats kept me happy, still down 150 dollars, therefore a week behind on rent (its going to be an expensive week this week)

Things aren’t going too bad, I got a huge pick me up this morning though, you may have remembered a little post titles ‘The Ultimate Present‘ well the ultimate present arrived in my letterbox Continue reading ‘Good, getting better’

Ups, Downs and a buttload of Red Bull

Mt day started out as a full blown shitfest when I awoke on Benny’s couch at 9:45 and systematically threw myself up and into some dirty clothes Continue reading ‘Ups, Downs and a buttload of Red Bull’

Hangovers, Getting Declined and Top Gear!

Well Im hung-over like a fox! which has rendered work incredibly fun! Not really, things got a bit silly last night, sorry if I made any other party’s uncomfortable (Ive got this idea in the back of my mind I was being a bit of a pig) Ive just got back from the hutt, trying to get an LCD widescreen on H.P, but no luck, I got declined for some reason, so I done what any good youth would.

I called my mummy and asked for a loan! so hopefully next few days and I can update my PC minus the butt ugly CRT!

I returned to find out Richard Hammond has been injured in a high speed crash, not cool as I’m a huge fan of top gear, fingers crossed everything is alright.

Updates

well ive got a widesceen panel on higher purchase, I was going to get this one, but (although it is the most beautiful thing that has ever graced my eyes) its refresh rate isnt too good, especially for someone who will be looking into gameing again in the very near future…

so I went for this one. 19″ widescreen TFT, I was going top layby, but I dont think I can last 6 months wihtout a screen Im p[aying for, ill put up with the 12 percent interest (and paying the extra 60 odd dollars) to get it in my room by the end of the week.

I love working and having money!!!

iPod, iTunes etc

For some reason right now, I cant get my iPod to mount, Amarok crashed again last night, Ive been told it doesn’t like lots of files, and I crammed everything I had in there and then some! I think ill resort my files so they’re structured out as genres that way I can throw on whatever I feel like listening too.

So tasks for me (after work) are, Get iPod to mount (and see if the portable media on Amarok works) or see if I can find iTunes. Re structure my files oh and Ive got to go to Benny’s place to let a glazier fix his window, they’ve been in the flat for all of 3 or 4 days and already they’ve been burgled.

Ill have a music rant up sometime also, hitting propagandhi pretty hard right now.
Peace

Frodoss

Amarok

Amarok continues to impress me, I mentioned in my last post that I think its got an ugly interface, and im going to stick with that, but it is functional, it works alongside last.fm better then any other media player Ive used (winamp, mediaplayer and iTunes included).

I still miss winamp, just because I prefure its layout, size etc, I can live without features, and ultimatly I want something small that can handle alot of tracks, I want my entire list on screen at once, and I dont want it slowing down while getting through tracks.

Ultimatly yesterday, Amarok was none of these, however! yesterday I was updating everything, Ive had time to play around with the media player without slowdown today, with a playlist and its good, nothing amazing or new against your more feature packed windows players, but it dosent need to be
