50FOOTWAVE has put an EP out called ‘Free Music’ I suggest you pick it up (well download it from there site) they’re calling it an experiment too see how far free music can go.
I picked up on the band through hearing Kristin Hersh playing with paraplegic muso ‘Vic Chesnutt’ she had an interesting voice, and I was surprised to see she plays (or has played) in some Indie punk and alternative bands…

Its the name of 50 Foot Wave (or L’~)s new EPIve become somewhat addicted to the track ‘Pretty Ugly’ mainly due to Hersh’s vocals.
Kristin Hersh is an overwhelmingly taltented singer with a striking voice, mixed in with the punky Bass and crazed bouncing drum and you have something somwhat like the Pixies (instrumental wise) if anything a bit heavier.Im really enjoying, and best of all they band has made it free for download (The EP that is)you can find it here
