So we had just got to sleep at , maybee 4 in the morning, it was now Sunday.
At 5am, I got a tap on my shoulder, a car had pulled up behind us, and the guys looked like they were hot boxing it, Riki and I sat there for about 10 minutes looking into the mirrors and keeping pretty still, I tapped Steve and woke him up, it was time to drive our bed somewhere else, as soon as our engine turned over the car behind us took off, and we parked right outside aunty and uncles house.
I must've been sleeping pretty lightly, because I woke up and watched the sun rise at about 5:30am – 6am, and after driving through all that crap weather between Palmerston North, and Hamilton, it was all blue sky.
At 7 we decided to go get breakfast, at Mc Donalds, Steve put it too us that he didnt want to drive around, which was fair enough, the trip from Wellington to Auckland took us just under 12 hours, We were going to be meeting up with my cousin Rachel, who had kindly sorted out a place for us to stay, at uncle Jim's, or something, too pass the time, between breakfast and meeting up with rachel, we decided to visit Uncle Nick, so we went back to where we had slept, and said hello.
The place was just as I had rememberd it, Mowgli their over active sheep dog is still there, how old is he? There are still two kids being two kids (although theyre differnt kids now) its like, Lucy is where Jess was at when I was last there, and now Ella? has taken over where Lucy was at. Jess on the other hand… wow, I wasnt expecting her to be all grown up, twisted things happen when you dont stay in touch I tell you.
Uncle Nick took us for a drive around for a bit in the SUV, cranking Damian Marley (my uncle listens to alot of modern music, his kids have it lucky) and enjoying the weather.
We had a swim and a spa, watched league (My uncle is a League man, and a fan of the Wests Tigers) and rugby with my uncle (The Warriors lost again) after a night sleeping in the car, all of that was awesome, and I felt alot better for it.
So Uncle Nick and Aunty Sheridan gorged us with food (lunch and a roast dinner) and gave us a place to crash for the night, We also meet the neighbours and had a few drinks, talked more rugby, alot, by this time the lack of sleep got to me, and I crashed out.
Good read, looking forward to the next!
